Manchmal geschehen doch noch Wunder.

Der US Visual Novel Markt bietet ja fast nur dritt klässige Spiele an, bis auf ein paar Ausnahmen und ich hätte nie damit gerechnet, dass Higurashi no Naku Koro ni jemals in einer verständlichen Sprache erscheint (ok, ob es Fan Translations gibt, habe ich nicht nachgeguckt), weswegen ich ja auch hoffe dass Yen Press soviele der Mangas wie möglich released aber nun erscheinen die Visual Novels wirklich in den USA.

The MangaGamer.com company has announced at the Anime Expo convention in Los Angeles this weekend that it has licensed the rights to translate 07th Expansion’s Higurashi: When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) suspense horror visual novel franchise. According to the company, the license includes the first eight personal computer games, which 07th Expansion calls „sound novels.“ MangaGamer.com plans to release the first part of the series at the end of October, followed by next one about two months later.

Werde ich mir in Zukunft mal wieder PC Spiele kaufen^^ aber wenn wir schon bei Visual Novels sind, gucken wir dochmal rüber zu den Eroge. JAST USA hat da nämlich so ein Abkommen mit Nitro+ bekannt gegeben:

The game localization company JAST USA has announced on Friday that it has licensed the rights to release English-translated versions of games from the Nitroplus studio. The first release from the new partnership will be Zanma Taisei Demonbane, the inspiration for the 2004 Demonbane video anime and the 2006 Demonbane television anime series. More information about this game and future releases will beavailable at the partnership’s official English website. JAST USA’s current catalog (2009-2010) mentions another Nitroplus title, Jingai Makyō, in addition to Demonbane as upcoming titles.
